I’m an american, planning on attending full time study at the University of Glasgow,in Scotland. I have been accepted, but the problem is that since i’m an american, tuition will cost me 9,000 pounds a year, and plus living and accommodation costs it goes to about 30,000 american dollars per year. And, since I’m going to school overseas, I can’t seem to find any scholarships or even many loans that will help me pay for this. I have a pretty good high school GPA and SAT scores, along with a 4 and 3 test score for calculus and literature respectively.

Can anyone tell me where I can get scholarships in this situation?

A question asked by Sean: Were ancient golf courses in Scotland cut by hand? Please answer for golf report!?

The No 1 answer:

Answer by green_lantern66
Considering they didn’t have lawn mowers centuries ago… yes. However, many of a courses features were natural. They didn’t do much pre-planning with layouts, bunker placements and fairway routing. Wherever it was, that’s where it was.

That’s one reason why links golf is more “mystical” than target golf courses. There’s something more appealing about a hole that lets you find your own way to the hole as opposed to one that dictates the way.

Whether you agree or disagree, why not leave your own thoughts below.

I am traveling to Scotland and Ireland in a few weeks, and would like to bring gifts from the US to my hosts in both countries. Nothing fancy or large, just little tokens of appreciation. Does anyone know some things we may have that they do not? Like when I went to France, I took peanut butter because my host had never had it before! So anything like that would be great… thanks so much!
