Question posed by Danny W: how many litres is 18 shots of whiskey?
It’s been said that a golf course has 18 holes because in Scotland, they used to have a shot of whiskey after every hole.
But, how much whiskey would that be? What has the official size of a shot back then?

A question asked by Palleo: Are english sports better or American ones?
These sports are more popular in these respective nations. Don’t post saying scotland invented golf cause i know that, but golf is more popular in the USA now as the sports that i have listed.
Lets see we have
Cricket versus Baseball
Rugby versus Gridiron Football
Croquet versus Golf
Football versus Basketball
Polo versus Bull Riding
and thats mainly it
I think Baseball beats cricket, Gridiron Football beats rugby,
Golf beats Croquet, Football beats basketball and Bull riding beats polo. So mainly american sports are better except for basketball which was invented by a canadian

Answer by Nimrod This is all relative my friend.
Each country has it’s own favourites. And each contributes to world culture.
If only nations played sports instead of war. Good luck with your enjoyment of your own personal preferences.
I’m not going to argue if you enjoy your own particular sports. It’s your God given right to have an opinion.

The No 1 answer:
Answer by Bella B Whilst in it’s most basic form, “clan” means family, not every family was a Scottish Clan with a castle and tartan… Many are modern or unofficial, and these days accept all with that surname regardless of whether they are truly descendants of the clan in question or not. Clans were also not necessarily the family in question and often servant families changed their names in honour of the clan family even though they did not actually belong to the clan family…
For example I have Eglinton’s in my family tree (mine were English rather than Scottish) but they would actually belong to the “Eglinton Clan” because it was in fact the Montgomerie family who were the Duke of Eglinton and not actually Eglinton’s…
I also have a Bruce family, but as far as I can tell were not Bruce Clan…
