How to Send a Package From the United States to Scotland?
I know it’s sort of a stupid question, but cut me a break I wanna send a package to a friend in Scotland while I live in the United States. I don’t need a big box or anything, it’s just a piece of jewelry. So I just wanna know what I’ll need and how much it’ll cost… Things like that. Help’s greatly appreciated, so thanks.
(Didn’t know where to put this, sorry if the category’s off.)

Place it in box with protective tissue paper surrounding it. Write on a label the address and your return address in the upper left hand corner; affix the label. No paper wrapping or string on the outside of the box; scotch tape is ok (wide wrapping tape may be better). Take it to the post office where you’ll have to fill out a form showing address etc . as well as description of the item and it’s value. The postal clerk will tell you the options and the pricing. If you need packing material, most post offices carry a supply.
The post office charges extra for tiny boxes. Better to put the jewelry in a small jewellery box, then put that one in a cardboard box that is about 6×8 inches and stuff with newspaper. Seal with wide package tape and attach an address label you print on the computer or write on plain paper. take it to the post office to weighed and get the postage. You can see 1st site below, scroll down to section on small packages to get an idea of the postage. See 2nd site below for tips on mailing international packages.
