What are your opinions about all the racial things going on in America?

Okay, so I’m a German American, also known as “white”.
My friend was whining about how why people don’t get half of the privileges blacks get, but techinally, we do and don’t know it. I’m half German and 1/4 Dutch and 1/4 Scottish, so I get 3 national holidays and several cultural societies and scholarships. But why would they give me a scholarship because my great-great grandmother came to New York in 1901? I mean, we all had to get here some-how, right? So that means that they have to give the scholarship to everyone, right? African American is the biggest racial group, because us white can be Irish, French, Boer, Scandinavian, Swiss, Albanian, Polish, British, Welch, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, ANY country in Europe, and “African” kind of covers every African country.
But that’s just one point, there’s several others about African being treated horribly and the scholarship for the African Americas can be for the fact that maybe they can’t get a break and need money to get they’re daughter and/or son to medical school, or law school, or whatever he and/or she wants to be, but they can’t pay for it because of the hard times they family wne through in the 60s. That’s one reason why they have a African American scholarship.
But how come most blacks tend to think that white hate them, like what Kanye West said, he said “White don’t care about blacks” when that’s not true! So blacks can be just as ****** as white, but black can say all the racial comments on whtie like they are joking, but whites can’t about blacks (not like we EVER should, but still). I was just wondering why blacks can say mean these about whites and make fun of us, but do blacks find it insulting when whites act black and make mimick blacks? Are the racial things blacks say about whites the same whites say about blacks? And do blacks have the right to day these things about white because we treated them terrible for so long? I find most racial joke blacks make about whites hilarous and don’t mind them at all, but what about other whites? I just want to hear you opinions.

Honestly, it’s not all blacks. I do not talk about white people derogatory nor say anything biased. I do not make fun of whit ppl either. Some comics find it a way to get a laugh and it carries on in their communities. As far as Kanye goes do not let him be the spokesperson for us, atleast not me. I loved Kanye until I heard some of his poetry and interviews and he was very cocky.
All I’m saying is it’s not all of us. If blk ppl are being prejudice just like any other culture, it’s pure ignorance.
If you honestly think white people are no longer ****** against blacks, you are either very young or you need to open up those pretty little eyes. Racism towards blacks is still a HUGE issue today.
I encourage you to google the term “white skin privledge”. Its a sociology term, but basically it talks about white people being privledged by being white, but unaware of it. And this is a prime example. Since you are white, not black, you dont have to deal with the discrimination and therefore dont see it.
And its not just here in the US, its world wide.
You should also google for the study that shows where black kids will always choose the white doll over the black doll.
The Tuskegee Study, though that was back in the 30s-50s.
Tyra Banks did a show where black moms were bleaching their children’s skin to be lighter so that they didnt have to be ridiculed as much at school by white kids.
Its all around, everywhere. Open your eyes.
Actually, Kanye West said that George Bush didn’t care about black people. Which, isn’t too far off. I doubt George Bush cares about any people.
Wow that was long but you bring up some good points. Some blacks are raciest just as some whites are raciest. It is true that in the past they have been treated as second class citizens in America, but so were the Germans, Irish, Jews, Catholics, this list could go on. The issue is that the black African Americans (not all but many) seem to believe that at some point their forefathers were slaves, which is not true. Also is you look at how they as a group were treated before the Civil Rights Movement then you can kinda see why many older blacks get upset and angry. I have not seen first hand really any mistreatment of someone due to their skin color and I think many people my age (29) and younger would say about the same. So now we begin to see things like scholarships for African Americans as an advantage over the rest of the population. In a sense we may see it as discrimination. It is true there are many poor black people, yet there are many poor white people. I do find it odd that some black people will say very mean and hateful things about whites and many seem OK with that but not if a white person says it about blacks. Truth is know one should do that and people need to point out people who do that and raise that they question to them no matter what color they are.
HOW MANY PPL DYK BORN IN AFRICA?? they are blacks….its disturbing….the war was 200 yrs ago….just forget it….
