I’ll be travelling to Scotland soon. What types of mead should I check out there? Any tips on where to find Scottish mead?

    You will be able to buy Mead from tourist outlets.

    I don’t know what area of Scotland you are going to, so here are a few ideas;

    There is a famous mead made at a place called Lindesfarne on the East Coast of England, just a few miles down from Berwick Upon Tweed at the Scottish Borders. This is a beautiful place which you have to cross a causeway to reach.

    There is also a town called Callender, in Central Scotland which has a lot of shops selling tourist stuff including mead.

    On the West Coast of Scotland, go to a place called Oban – there is many shops there that sells mead.

    Enjoy your visit

    Strange request. Especially in the land of Whiskey, but to each his own. Ask around, several places carry it. So I’m told.
