Attorneys from certain foreign countries including yours are considered to have completed a full course of legal study and may be permitted to practice law in the United States if they meet certain additional requirements. 

Aside from that each state&#039;s requirements vary, some may require you to take certain courses, specific to that state such as Community Property in California or Oil and Gas in Texas. 

However, the primary requirement is the same. You must take and pass the BAR Exam of the state where you intend to practice law. 

For California requirements you can call or write to them at the website below. You can check the website of each State Bar that you are interested in. Each specifies the requirements for its state.
