When all of this started I have no idea. The Scots are more "human" than the English. The English are known for wars and Territorial stuff (like the French in a way), they are just "too much" with the upper class system etc. This is how the world looks at the difference. Although, I have a lot of English friends, and I can not see this anywhere.. Also the English are known for being cheap. Most Americans like the English and the Scots. The English do have their past as an empire, so to some people they probably represent colonial oppression. The American Revolution was so long ago, I don't think Americans have any grudge over that. They see the Brits as reliable allies and the source of good rock and roll. lol Scots are probably regarded as more romantic: Brave Heart and all that.
