Will I Get Hassled for a One Way Flight to Scotland?

I’m flying over to Scotland to meet my girlfriend and live there for 6 months, but I don’t have the return ticket yet. I won’t be getting it until I am already over there. Will I get hassled at the Airport or anything?

where are you flying from??
no you wont have any problem
you will just say that you dont know when you are coming back.
but you have to see if your ticket fare allows to stay 6 months. there is a maximum and minimun stay in the tickets. you will have to ask your travel agency or the carrier you are travelling with.
of course they will ,they will think you are a terrorist
yes
Probably. Because you won’t have a Visa to legally live there, they will want to know what your travel plans are. And if you have enough cash to support yourself whilst you are there for 6 months.
Be prepared, and show them you have enough cash to buy a return ticket back.
Having arrived by air to Scotland, and the UK, at least 10 times in the last 4 years, I predict that this will be a problem for you. Everyone (everyone) is questioned upon arrival–how long will you be staying? Where are you arriving from? How long have you been there? Where will you be staying? What is the nature of your visit?
You need to have proof of onward travel within 6 months (assuming you are Canadian, US, Australia, or NZ passport-holder?). It can be as simple as a very cheap Ryanair flight pre-booked to Ireland or another Schengen agreement country, or a ferry ticket to Norway, or a bus ticket to Brussels, etc. It shouldn’t cost more than about $30 to arrange one of these, print out confirmation, and take with you.
