I am from Ireland and travelling to Scotland next week. I plan to stay there long-term. Do I need to get a visa to work there from the start or do i need to get a visa after three months?
I am hoping to attend a university in Scotland this fall and I’m wondering about the visa process. My boyfriend/fiance is coming with me, although he isn’t attending the school, so I we will need off campus housing/apartment as well as the ability to work. What kind of visas should we apply for? Would it be better if we were married first? All this information will determine whether or not I apply for this fall next fall. Thank you!

i am a Canadian permanent resident but a Philippine passport holder. I plan to go on a holiday to Scotland for 3 weeks, but i am thinking of spending at least 5 days in Paris as a side trip before going back to Scotland to complete my vacation. Do i need a visa to enter Paris from Scotland?

You should be able to do it in Scotland. Though it was never for Canada, I have applied for visa’s for other countries before whilst out of Australia, and it was never a problem. If you ring the Canadian embassy they will be able to tell you what you need to do, and where to get the forms, its usually done online.
